The Church Triumphant

A message from Pastor LaPietra

We are living in remarkable and perilous times. Each week we are greeted with a profusion of complexities, terrors, and threats that are seemingly proliferating at alarming rates. Our nation has lost it’s moral compass and is cascading rapidly into a cesspool of degradation which must shortly call for the judgmental intervention of our holy God.The true church of Jesus Christ has,in large, lost it’s ancient calling as the custodian of absolute truth. Riven by division, compromise, and moral laxity the church remains effete at the hour of the world’s greatest peril. This grim assessment can either depress us or steel our nerves to implacably face the onslaught of evil that confronts us this day. We must never forget that our omnipotent Lord graced us with two promises: ... upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Matthew 16:18 And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth.Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 I rejoice that the Lord has mercifully preserved us and I marvel that for forty three years He has blessed our work despite my many shortcomings. I have no doubt that He longs to conscript us in the ferocious battle against the forces of evil. As the faithful apostle, who faced similar exigencies, reminds us: And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed. The night is far spent, the day is at hand: let us therefore cast off the works of darkness, and let us put on the armour of light. Roman13:11-12 And so, let us all take a firm grip on that ever-trenchant, two-edged sword of God and enter the fray with holy confidence and undying zeal to win the favor of the Almighty. Let us speak with unction, urgency, compassion and sincerity as God gives us utterance. Yea let us speak “boldly, as we ought to speak” to the souls of a lost generation. I thank God for so many of you who have stood by my side for so many years. You have prayed for me,supported me, worked side-by-side with me and above all loved me through a multitude of conflicts. My only repayment to you is to pledge my fidelity to the message of Christ and to promise you that I will always be available for ministry to you and your family as long as the Lord lends me breath. Together, as a unified body of believers-a church triumphant, we can send to flight the minions of evil that are bent on our destruction. We may rightly expect to see revival and salvation break out as the church depends on the power and direction of the Holy Spirit.

Then I told them of the hand of my God which was good upon me; ...And they said, Let us rise up and build. So they strengthened their hands for this good work.

Nehemiah 2:18
